‘iTunes Store’ Stocks MTVN Goods


Apple Computer Inc.’s “iTunes Music Store” (www.itunes.com) announced the availability of programming from MTV Networks Thursday.

Content from MTV: Music Television, MTV2, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and The N is now available for purchase and download.

iTunes now offers more than 40 TV shows for $1.99 per episode for viewing on a PC or “iPod.”

MTVN series available via iTunes Music Store are:

• MTV: Laguna Beach, Gauntlet 2, Beavis & Butt-Head, Jackass, Punk'd and My Super Sweet 16;

• MTV2: Wonder Showzen;

• Nickelodeon: Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants and Zoey 101;

• Comedy Central: SouthPark, Comedy Central Stand-Up and Drawn Together; and

• The N: South of Nowhere.

“MTV Networks' brands feature some of the most popular programs in television today, and iTunes allows us to connect our content to even more audiences,” MTVN chief digital officer Jason Hirschhorn said in a prepared statement. “We’re committed to having our programming on multiple platforms as our audience's media-consumption behavior evolves.”
