Samuel L. Jackson will host Spike TV’s Video Game Awards 2005, the network said Tuesday.
The event will be held Friday, Nov. 18 at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, and it will air on the network Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. (EST/PST).
Also set to appear: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vin Diesel, The Rock, Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg, Carmen Electra, Xzibit and Ozzy Osbourne.
“Video games have taken over the world as the most creative, cutting-edge platform for major names in entertainment to showcase their talent and reach a massive audience,” Spike senior vice president of event production and talent development and VGA executive producer Casey Patterson said in a prepared statement.
“Sam Jackson is one of the coolest guys on the planet,” he added. “We’re thrilled to have him hosting this year's show, which promises more stars, more rock and more games than ever before.”
