After less than six months, former Starz Encore Group LLC vice president Paul
Jacobson quit his job in Washington, D.C., where he was Sen. Bill Frist’s
(R-Tenn.) deputy communications director, to join Adelphia Communications
Jacobson, who was named VP of communications, said he missed his family in
"I found that I really wanted to be back with them and in that part of the
country," he said. "The Adelphia opportunity came along at the right time."
Adelphia has relied on New York-based crisis public-relations firm Robinson
Lerer & Montgomery to handle its communications since the company imploded
in an accounting scandal last year.
In another personnel move, Adelphia also hired former Gibson Technical
Services Inc. chief operating officer Keith Hayes, naming him VP of network
planning and construction, CED reported.
