Jennings To Head Comcast's Mile High Region

Rich Jennings of Comcast has been named regional VP of the cable company's Mile High Region.

He succeeds Scott Binder, who recently left the company, the Denver Postreported.

Jennings earlier in his career at Comcast was VP and general manager in the Mile High Region. He returns to Denver from Comcast's Freedom Region, where he was VP of fulfillment in a territory that included operations in northern Delaware, New Jersey and greater Philadelphia.

Jennings will oversee sales, technical operations, customer service and local marketing in the Mile High Region, which has about 3,500 employees in Colorado and New Mexico. He talked about local matters, including the upcoming launch of 3G and 4G wireless Internet, in a Denver Post interview.

"Rich has played a crucial role at Comcast since joining the company in 2005. With his in-depth knowledge of and dedication to our customers, our products and our business operations, we are more than confident that he will be an outstanding leader for the Mile High Region," West Division president Steve White said in a release. "With an exemplary track record of exceeding business goals throughout his career, Rich is an inspiring leader who can develop and implement targeted business strategies and motivate diverse teams to success."
