TLC viewers apparently are still fascinated with the Gosselins.
Two new episodes of Jon & Kate Plus 8 airing this past Monday - the show's first since going on hiatus in June after Jon and Kate Gosselin announced their marital separation - drew 4 million and 4.2 million viewers respectively, according to TLC.
The audience for the shows was less than half the 10.6 million that tuned into the premiere of the June 22 breakup episode, but more than double the show's 2.4 million viewer average for season four.
The first episode featured the Gosselin parents performing separate family tasks, with the second episode showing Kate taking the couple's five-year old sextuplets and two older daughters camping.
Network officials say TLC still plans to produce 40 episodes for the series' fifth season.
