JumpTV to Jump Onto Comcast.net

JumpTV’s international television channels will be available to Comcast’s 10 million high-speed-Internet subscribers via its Comcast.net portal (www.comcast.net) beginning in November under terms of an agreement to be announced Monday.

The ethnic programmer offers more than 223 channels from more than 69 countries, including Sony Entertainment Television Asia (India), CNS (Guyan), Bandeirantes (Brazil), América TV, Canal 9 (Argentina), TV Chile and VTV Uruguay.

Comcast.net users will be able to sign up for a promotional two-week trial to JumpTV’s service free of charge, the two companies said.

“With our speed advantage, we can provide a high-quality viewing experience to those users who want to stay connected with their homeland through the great selection of international programming available on JumpTV,” Comcast Interactive Media senior vice president of product development Charlie Herrin said in a prepared statement.
