Video-server provider Kasenna Inc. has purchased ViewNow, a video-on-demand programming, management and marketing-services company.
ViewNow has primarily operated in the telco VOD space.
"With the acquisition of ViewNow's assets, Kasenna has become a single source for VOD infrastructure, applications and programming," Kasenna chairman and CEO Mark Gray said in a prepared statement. "Now service providers can focus on generating revenue instead of dealing with multiple vendors, interoperability issues and program licensing."
The companies said ViewNow president Steve Roberts will remain with the combined company as president of Kasenna's ViewNow division.
