Kerry to Appear on Comedy’s Daily Show


Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) will make his debut appearance on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Tuesday at 11 p.m.

Kerry’s running mate, vice presidential candidate Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.), announced his intention to run for the presidency on The Daily Show Sept. 15, 2003.

Other big-name politicians who have appeared on the series include former Vice President Al Gore, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), Sen. Joseph Lieberman (D-Conn.), Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.), former Sen. Bob Kerrey (D-Neb.), Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.), 2000 Green Party presidential nominee Ralph Nader, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Sen. and 1996 Republican presidential nominee Bob Dole.

Dole also served as guest political commentator for The Daily Show’s "Indecision 2000" election coverage.
