Khader Joins Elemental as Chief Product Officer

Aslam Khader has joined Elemental Technologies as chief product officer, coming on board as the multiscreen video processing and encoding vendor pushes ahead on an aggressive international expansion.

Khader, a veteran of the pay TV and advertising TV industries, most recently served as chief technology and product officer at Ensequence, where he developed and delivered interactive TV products and services. Before that, he was VP of product marketing at Intertrust Technologies, where he headed up video digital rights management (DRM) product development.

Elemental said Khader is on board to head up product strategy and scale product development as the company pursues more business overseas.

“Aslam will align and unify our product development with the major technology and business trends we’re seeing in the video industry,” said Sam Blackman, CEO and co-founder of Elemental Technologies, in a statement. “Elemental and its customers will benefit tremendously from his expertise as we scale our solutions portfolio apace with the growing multiscreen industry as it moves to all IP delivery.”

Elemental, which counts Comcast, HBO, the BBC, ESPN, ABC News, and CBS Interactive among its key customers, is headquartered in Portland, Ore.,  and operates offices in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Brazil.
