Much of the American sports world is focused on the NCAA Men's Division 1 Men's Basketball Tournament, but Major league Soccer is kicking off its 14th season tonight with the New York Red Bulls visiting the expansionist Seattle Sounders FC at Qwest Field.
In Demand will be kicking it this Saturday during a free preview of a trio of matches as a calling card for pay-per-view package MLS Direct Kick. Digital-cable subscribers can follow the futbol action of 130 MLS games, three to four per weekend, this season for $79.
Among the MSOs offering the package this year: Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision Systems, Bresnan, Armstrong, Metrocast, Bristol Virginia Utilities, Openband, Toledo Blade and Pencor. Other systems will be added, according to In Demand officials.
