Kids' Choice Awards to Go Black

Jack Black will host Nickelodeon's 19th Annual Kids' Choice Awards Saturday, April 1 from 8 p.m.-9:30 p.m. (EST/PST), the network said Tuesday.

The Kids' Choice Awards let kids choose their favorites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television.

"I'm superexcited to be hosting Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards because when you're doing a show for the kids, you can get extra crazy and loony," said Black (King Kong, School of Rock).

Nickelodeon executive vice president of development and original programming and Kids' Choice Awards executive producer Marjorie Cohn added, “Kids love Jack Black's high-energy, unpredictable comedy -- the perfect personality for serving as host of Nick's ‘anything can happen’ Kid's Choice Awards. With Jack as host, the surprise factor is naturally elevated. Even we can hardly wait to see what will happen.”
