For Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards, the 15th time was the charm.
The network's annual awards show for kids was the best ever, earning a 10.6
rating among children two through 11 during its April 20 premiere from 8 p.m. to
9:30 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research data.
That topped last year's 14th iteration -- which earned a 7.4
rating among that group -- by 43 percent.
All told, the 15th Annual Kids' Choice Awards registered a
3.7 household rating, up 16 percent from the 2001 version, and it delivered 5.9
million viewers, up 40 percent from last year's show.
Hosted by Rosie O'Donnell for the sixth consecutive
year, the program was also a winner online, as Nick.com received 19.7 million votes -- its most
ever for the event and 40 percent more than last year, according to the network.
