King Of Queens Lands On Spike, TV Land

The King of Queens is crossing the East River and will begin airing on MTV Networks' Spike TV and TV Land in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
The non-exclusive cable syndication deal, terms of which were not disclosed, will see Spike start running the show in primetime in October 2011, with back-to-back episodes airing twice weekly. TBS will continue to present the show, which it currently schedules at 6 p.m., while stations also air the Kevin James-starrer.
TV Land will gain the rights to the series two years later.

"This is such a relatable comedy and we are sure this show will continue to make both networks' audiences laugh for many years to come," said Jaclyn Cohen, senior vice president, programming and acquisitions, TV Land, who brokered the deal for her network and its sister service.
The off-network acquisition marks the second split deal for TV Land in recent months, as the service will gain rights to Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2013, after it completes its run on TV Guide Network.
