Klein Travels To Sundance Channel

Sundance Channel Thursday named ex-Travel Channel programming executive Michael Klein as its senior vice president of original programming and development.
Klein will report to Sundance Channel executive vice president and general manager Sarah Barnett and will oversee Sundance Channel's programming, including production for all network-produced features, series and documentaries, according to network officials.
As Travel Channel senior vice president of content, klein was responsible for the development and production of such original shows as Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods.
Prior to Travel Channel, Klein was vice president of lifestyle programming for Discovery U. S. Networks, responsible for a variety of hit series including What Not to Wear, Little People, Big World and Miami Ink.
"Michael's success in the programming arena, all-round television experience and enthusiasm for the Sundance brand makes him an exciting addition to the senior management team," said Barnett in a statement. "As Sundance Channel enters into a new era of original programming, Michael brings new energy and creativity that I am confident will resonate with viewers and excite the television industry."
