Knology Sets Date for Special Shareholders' Meeting


West Point, Ga. overbuilder Knology has set June 26 as the date for a special meeting of shareholders to approve its $1.5 billion sale to WideOpenWest.
Knology agreed to be acquired by WOW on April 18 for $19.75 per share in cash. The combined entity will have over 800,000 customers, and its products and services will be available to more than 2.8 million households in 13 states.
Knology said it will hold the special meeting at 9 a.m. at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway Hotel, 2020 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta, Ga. Shareholders of record as of May 23 are eligible to vote on the transaction.
