Knowledge Networks Gets $15.5M

Menlo Park, Calif.-based research firm Knowledge Networks Inc. announced
Wednesday that it has received $15.5 million in new financing from
investors.

CEO John Lewis said that in closing this new round of financing, it retained
the same syndicate of venture investors that has backed it from the start three
years ago -- Oak Investment Partners, Oak Hill Venture Partners, Alloy Ventures
Inc., Maveron LLC and Meritech Capital Partners.

In fall 2001, Knowledge entered into a strategic alliance with Statistical
Research Inc., which tried to launch the 'SMART' television-ratings service
until 1999 and which continues to conduct the 'RADAR' radio-ratings
service.
