Kay Koplovitz, the former USA Networks president and current board chairman of Liz Claiborne, has joined the advisory board for director recruiting firm Boardroom Consultants.

Koplovitz has served on the boards of Instinet, Oracle, Nabisco, and General Reinsurance Corp.
She also is a principal at Koplovitz & Co., a media investment and management company, and is co-founder of Springboard Enterprises, a national organization that has fostered the investment of more than $4 billion in women-led firms.
Koplovitz is also a public speaker and author of a number of books related to media and business leadership and was the first woman to head a television network when she founded USA Networks under the banner of Madison Square Garden Sports in 1977.
She led USA Networks to first place in cable primetime ratings, where it remained for 14 years. In 1992, she launched Sci Fi Channel and in 1994 she launched USA Networks International.
