Executive recruiter Korn/Ferry International has been retained to head the
search to replace Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau CEO Joseph Ostrow.
The pursuit began in early October, said Bill Simon, managing director of
Korn/Ferry's global media and entertainment practice, adding that the CAB's
search committee has asked the firm to consider executives in the advertiser,
ad-agency and cable-network arenas.
One name that surfaced last week: Michael Lotito, former CEO of Mediaport,
the Web-based back-office media-management firm folded by its three ad-agency
owners in mid-September.
