There are more changes afloat at CNN and sister network HLN.

Following news that it had hired John Berman to co-anchor
morning program Early Start, CNN will
move that show's co-anchor, Ashleigh Banfield, to anchor an hour of CNN Newsroom from 11 a.m. to noon.
Starting in July,

Berman will anchor Early
Start
alongside Zoraida Sambolin, who has hosted the show since its January
premiere.

Newsroom anchor
Kyra Phillips, who hosted the 11 a.m. hour, will move to HLN to launch a new
daytime program later this summer.

In a memo to staff announcing the move, HLN executive vice
president and general manager Scot Safon said the show would be built around
Phillips' passions, including parenting, civil rights, children with
disabilities and military families.

The moves are the latest in a string of tweaks CNN has been
making to its schedule in the wake of flagging ratings, including the hiring of
Anthony Bourdain and the cancellation of John
King USA
.
