Laybourne to Keynote PowerBrokers Breakfast

Oxygen co-founder and entrepreneur Gerry Laybourne will deliver the keynote speech at the 2016 PowerBrokers Breakfast Oct. 13 at the National Press Club in Washington.

Laybourne fits the bill of powerful women in the cable business, having had a hand in Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and the Disney Channel. In fact, the Washington/Baltimore chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications, which is sponsoring the breakfast, named one of its Touchstone awards after Laybourne.

Those awards are being handed out at the Oct. 13 event, which will be emceed by Val Nicholas, VP and creative director at NBC News.

With the helping hands and checkbooks of media companies, WICT provides "professional development programs, research and services that help advance women in cable media."
