Actor/comedian John Leguizamo is developing an animated special, Zilch
& Zero,that will appear on Spike TV, the rechristened The New
TNN, officials said Tuesday.
"This special allows me to be me, myself and I -- animated," Leguizamo said
in a prepared statement. "I've been living with this idea for quite a while, and
it's a perfect match for Spike TV."
The 30-minute adult program will on Spike TV, which is targeting men, when
the new format and name debuts June 16.
The characters, Zilch and Zero, are two "slackers" who work in a video store
and spend their day critiquing the latest films to come out on DVD.
"John Leguizamo is a raw, unapologetically male comedic personality and,
therefore, is a perfect partner to Spike TV," president Albie Hecht said in a
MTV Networks officials were slated to unveil Spike TV's logo Tuesday night at
the programmer's upfront presentation at Madison Square Garden in New York,
where talent like Elton John was slated to perform.
