`Liars' Finale Set Ratings Record


ABC Family's freshman scripted drama Pretty Little Liars ended its summer run with a series record 3 million total viewers.
The Aug. 10 finale also set series record among Adults 18-34 (996,000 viewers), Adults 18-49 (1.40 million), Women 18-49 (1.15 million), Teens (1.02 million), Female Teens (936,000), Viewers 12-34 (2.02 million) and Females 12-34 (1.76 million), said network executives.
Pretty Little Liars follows four estranged best friends, reunited one year after their best friend Alison goes missing. However, they are receiving messages from an anonymous "A" who knows all their secrets.
Overall, Pretty Little Liars averaged 2.5 million total viewers over its 10-episode run. The network this past June ordered an additional 12 episodes of the series, which it will increase its freshman season to 22 episodes.
