Liberty Broadband Winks at Acquisition

Liberty Media Corp.'s Liberty Broadband Interactive TV Inc. unit completed
its first acquisition deal Friday, taking over Wink Communications Inc. for
about $100 million.

Shareholders received $3 per share of common stock they owned in Wink, which
programs enhanced TV information, advertising and t-commerce blurbs on various
broadcast and cable networks.

The company had been trading on the NASDAQ market, and it was delisted from
there after the deal was completed.

Liberty Broadband Interactive president and CEO Peter Boylan will be chairman
of Wink, with Maggie Wilderotter remaining there as president and CEO.

Liberty Broadband has two previously announced deals yet to close -- its
acquisition of ACTV Inc. and becoming lead equity stakeholder in OpenTV Corp.
Both are anticipated to wrap this fall.
