Patrick Crumb this week was named executive vice president of business affairs and general counsel of Liberty Sports Group, a subsidiary of Liberty Media Corp. comprised of three regional sports networks in Denver, Pittsburgh and Seattle.
In his new position, he will be responsible for leading the group’s expansion efforts and new business endeavors.
Crumb joins Liberty Sports Group from Fox Interactive Media where he was a senior vice president and general manager of its Scout Media division. He was responsible for business strategy and management of Scout Media and its subsidiaries including Scout.com, an online sports network, and Scout Publishing, which is comprised of 45 monthly, team-specific sports magazines.
“Patrick Crumb’s knowledge and experience in advanced media and legal affairs provide Liberty Sports Group an invaluable opportunity to have a proven leader drive the expansion of our business,” Mark Shuken, president and chief executive officer of Liberty Sports Group, said in a statement.
Crumb graduated from the University Of Washington School Of Law, and was a partner at Bogle & Gates and Corr Cronin, two well-known Seattle law firms, before joining Rival Networks and Rivals.com in 2000.
