Conexant Systems named Bernd Lienhard senior vice president and general manager of its universal-access business.
Lienhard comes from Qimonda, a spinoff of Infineon Technologies, where he was VP of sales and marketing for North America. Prior to that, he spent eight years with Infineon in various positions, including VP and GM of its advanced sensors, automotive and industrial business group.
Lienhard replaces Mark Duvall, who resigned in July to pursue business opportunities outside of the semiconductor industry.
Conexant provides semiconductor solutions for broadband communications and the digital home, and universal access accounts for about one-third of the company’s total revenue.
