Lifetime Adds Tia Maggini As VP, Original Movies

Lifetime has named Tia Maggini as vice president of original movies, reporting to SVP of original movies Tanya Lopez in Los Angeles.

Most recently, Maggini was VP of television for Josephson Entertainment in Los Angeles, where she was responsible for managing all areas of television development on behalf of the company, including AMC’s Turn. From 2006 to 2011, she was senior executive for Marc Platt Productions.

She served as a creative executive/story editor for Red Wagon Entertainment between 2003 and 2006. While there, she was the primary story executive for director Rob Marshall’s Memoirs of a Geisha and Sam Mendes’ Jarhead. She joined Red Wagon from CAA, where she was an assistant. She began her career in publishing, in which she held numerous positions, including editor, for such houses as HarperCollins, ReganBooks and Avon Books.
