Actress Alyssa Milano will star in Lifetime's upcoming original movie 'Tempting Fate,' based on a book from best-selling author Jane Green.

Actress Alyssa Milano will star in the first of the three movies, Tempting Fate, which follows the story of mother-who puts her marriage in jeopardy when she meets a handsome younger man who seemingly ignites a fire and desire within her.

The other two movies include To Have and to Hold, which centers on a young woman who marries her high school crush and willingly allows him to mold her into his ideal socialite wife; and Family Pictures, which follows two strangers living on opposite coasts whose daughters befriend each other and discover a shocking secret that threatens to tear both families apart.

"Jane Green's novels are addictive, fun, juicy and wise - just like a great Lifetime Movie - so to bring the two genres together is incredibly thrilling," Lifetime and LMN executive vice president of limited series and original movie acquisitions Tanya Lopez in a statement "With Kim set to direct and Alyssa as the star to kick off the first of the series by Jane, it is the perfect trifecta.”
