Lifetime Is the Odd Girl Out

Lifetime Television will air Lifetime Original Movie Odd Girl Out during the second quarter of 2005, the network said Tuesday.

Starring Alexa Vega (Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams) and Lisa Vidal (The Division, Chasing Papi), Odd Girl Out is the fictional story of a daughter and her mother who learn how to deal with psychological and emotional bullying among girls that occurs in schools.

The film is based on a book by Rachel Simmons, Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls.

“Alexa is a gifted, young actress, and Lisa brilliantly portrays strong women who serve as role models,” Lifetime senior vice president of original movies Trevor Walton said in a prepared statement. “Both of these talented women will add even greater depth to the characters in this powerful and pertinent story.”
