Lifetime and The White House Project will host 100 political aspirants in Ohio this weekend, the latest event in the channel's “Every Woman Counts” political activism campaign.

The organizations have picked Ohio because the Buckeye State is ranked 41st in the nation in terms of women in positions of political leadership, with women representing just 16.7% of the state legislators. The weekend program will train women at the state and local level how to prepare an election campaign.

The event, called “Ohio Go Run” will be The White House Project's first training in the state. Lifetime has promoted “Every Woman Counts” since 1992.
