Lifetime Serves Up Summer Movie Trio

Lifetime Thursday announced it will bring three new original movies to viewers this summer including Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal, starring Jenna Dewan, Ashley Benson and Academy Award-winner Tatum O’Neal.

Fab Five will debut on Saturday, August 2 at 9 p.m. ET. The film follows a cheerleading captain and her group of friends as they constantly disobey school rules and disregard teachers while administrators turn the other way. The group’s outrageous antics quickly escalate from skipping and disrupting classes to extreme partying, posting suggestive photos of themselves on the Internet, bullying and other self-destructive behavior, network officials said.

On Saturday, August 9 at 9 p.m. ET, Lifetime will air True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet starring Valerie Bertinelli in her first-ever Lifetime movie. Platinum-selling recording artist Joanna “JoJo” Levesque and Shenae Grimes co-star in a story about a 17-year-old actress who has money, fame and millions of fans but watches her world coming crashing down after she passes out on the red carpet of her movie premiere from alcohol poisoning.

The following Saturday night (August 16) at 9 p.m., the network will air Confessions of a Go-Go Girl, starring Chelsea Hobbs (The Party Never Stops) as a recent college graduate who scraps her plans for law school to pursue an acting career full-time. Struggling to make ends meet, she meets a confident and persuasive friend who shows her the way to make “easy money” as a go-go dancer. Rachel Hunter and Corbin Bernsen will co-star in the film.
