Lifetime: Summer Households Are Ours

With one week's worth of tallying to go, Lifetime Television has declared
primetime victory for summer 2002.

The women's-targeted network said Wednesday that it will beat out other
competitors in the household ratings race.

Through the first 12 weeks of the summer through Aug. 18, Lifetime has
averaged a 2.1 household rating, a 5 percent gain from year-earlier levels,
according to Nielsen Media Research data supplied by the network.

Lifetime ranked first among households in primetime for the individual months
of June (a 2.1) and July (a 2.0) and said it is poised to win August (a 2.1 to
date).

Nielsen ends this month's measurement period on Aug. 25.

The women's network, which has worn the household crown during 28 of the
season's 33 weeks so far, also claimed the top spot in primetime among several
female demos, including working women, women 18 +, women 18 to 49 and women 25
to 54.
