Lifetime Television's movie adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates' book, We Were
the Mulvaneys, was the second-highest-rated original film in basic cable
The premiere run of the movie April 8 notched a 4.7 household rating from 9
p.m. to 11 p.m., according to Nielsen Media Research data. All told, the film's
debut attracted nearly 5.42 million viewers.
Mulvaneys trailed only Lifetime's Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson
Story, which earned a 5.1 household rating Jan. 21, among original
basic-cable movies thus far in 2002, according to the network.
The distaff-targeted network also said the debut of Her Best Friend's
Husband was the medium's third-highest-rated original movie this year when
it scored a 3.7 household mark March 11.
