Lightning Return to Ice, TV

For the first time in franchise history, the National Hockey League’s Tampa Bay Lightning will have every regular-season game aired on TV, with 76 of the contests airing on Sun Sports.

The regional sports network will drop the puck on its coverage Wednesday, Oct. 5, when the Stanley Cup banner will be raised in the St. Pete Times Forum, followed by the Lightning taking on the Carolina Hurricanes.

Sun Sports will air 41 home games and 35 away contests. Rick Peckham returns for his 10th season as the Lightning’s play-by-play announcer, with analyst Bobby “The Chief” Taylor, in his 12th year, and rinkside reporter Paul Kennedy.
