Lipford to Head Vegas System

Mark Lipford, a former Cablevision Systems Corp. regional executive, was
named the new vice president and general manager of Cox Communications Inc.'s
367,000-subscriber Las Vegas system.

Lipford was previously a Cablevision regional vice president overseeing more
than 1 million customers in 10 cable systems in New Jersey and southern New
York, Cox said. Before that, he was regional vice president and general manager
at the Time Warner Communications system in Rochester, N.Y., where he was
responsible for the start-up of a competitive local-exchange carrier.

Jill Campbell -- the GM at Las Vegas since 1998, when Cox bought the system
-- was promoted to regional operating vice president in April.
