The second season of British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award-winning sketch show Little Britain will premiere on BBC America this August.
The first of six half-hour shows will bow Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. (EST) and 10 p.m. (PST) and run Wednesdays thereafter.
Written and performed by two of the United Kingdom’s hottest comic talents, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Little Britain takes viewers on a surreal tour of discovery following the lives of the extraordinary and sometimes sinister folk from around the United Kingdom.
In addition to picking up two BAFTA Awards (the United Kingdom’s Emmy Award equivalent) this year, Lucas and Walliams lead the nominees at this year’s upcoming Rose d’Or Awards with a total of eight nominations in the performance category.
BBC America will encore Little Britain’s first season beginning June 1, while two-DVD set Little Britain: The Complete First Series will be available Aug. 16 for the suggested retail price of $29.98.
