Kasenna Inc., ViewNow and N2 Broadband Inc. are bringing their joint video-on-demand solution to PrairieWave Communications Inc.
The vendors said the end-to-end solution integrates N2's “OpenStream” digital-services platform, Kasenna's “MediaBase” VOD servers and ViewNow's VOD movies, programming and “ViewTrak” software. Kasenna owns ViewNow.
“The Kasenna/ViewNow/N2 Broadband solution gave us pay-as-you-grow scalability and program marketing support for a quicker launch, along with the flexibility of a standards-based VOD system, instead of using a proprietary approach,” PrairieWave chairman and CEO Craig Anderson said in a prepared statement.
PrairieWave -- which serves subscribers in South Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota -- is scheduled to begin rolling out its new VOD service across its 20,000-subscriber network in early fall.
