LodgeNet Entertainment Corp. has extended its contract with La Quinta Inns
Inc. to provide an array of video and interactive services, the companies
announced Wednesday.

Under terms of the agreement, LodgeNet will bring new interactive digital
services to more than 300 La Quinta hotels and upgrade interactive
applications.

Nearly 40,000 La Quinta guest rooms will be upgraded to LodgeNet's
digital-system technology, which will provide guests with such new services as
on-demand digital music and music videos, specialized pay-per-view content and
archived programming, including Home Box Office original series The
Sopranos
and Sex and the City.

The on-demand movie service will enable guests to use pause, fast-forward and
rewind functions.

The contract also calls for LodgeNet to upgrade 'Super NES' video-game
systems to the Nintendo Co. Ltd. 'Nintendo 64' platform and to equip La Quinta
properties with Web-browsing capabilities

'During our more-than-five-year relationship with La Qunita Inns, they have
maximized the opportunities our services have offered by consistently and
proactively marketing those services to their guests,' chief operating officer
John O'Haugherty said in a prepared statement.

'As economic considerations cause more travelers to consider the midpriced
lodging segment, we look forward to helping La Quinta hotels to exceed the
expectations of business and leisure guests alike,' he added.
