LodgeNet Entertainment Corp. is now the exclusive provider of interactive-TV services for all Concord Hospitality Enterprises Co.-owned and managed hotels in the United States under terms of a deal announced Thursday.
LodgeNet will install its “sigNETure TV” marketing and entertainment system and services including on-demand movies, music, TV programming and special-interest videos -- all enhanced with LodgeNet's media-playback controls for skip, pause and save functionality -- along with its “TV GameRoom” video games and other interactive guest services.
Concord operates 43 hotels with 5,499 rooms in 10 states and three provinces in Canada. Thursday’s agreement covers 30 of those properties.
“We believe that having all of our properties served by a single in-room entertainment provider will streamline our corporate operations while ensuring a consistent, high-quality television experience in every guest room of our portfolio,” Concord chief operations officer Bob Micklash said in a prepared statement.
