Logo To Pay Tribute to McClanahan


Viacom-owned Logo will pay tribute to the acting career of Rue McClanahan with the airing of Sordid Lives: The Series beginning June 6.
McClanahan, who died Thursday (June 3) of a stroke in New York, starred in the 2008 series which portrayed the outrageous, dysfunctional and  not-always-pretty side of southern family life. The veteran actress McClanahan, who played the role of family matriarch Peggy Ingram in the series, was best known for her role as the saucy, sharp southern belle Blanche in the 1980s comedy sitcom series The Golden Girls.
Logo is encouraging fans to use Twitter to tweet their favorite Rue moments to @LogoTV. Those comments will be posted on the network starting today and continuing through Sunday's tribute, airing more frequently during the episodes
LogoTV.com's video marquee will also post clips from McClanahan's work in the series, said the network.
