Logo TV Renews 'RuPaul's Drag Race' for Seventh Season

Logo TV has renewed its top-rated show for a seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, a week before its sixth campaign makes its linear bow.

Production on the seventh season begins today with a nationwide casting call to find competitors for the genre-defining, battle royale of drag.

Logo TV is pre-releasing the first episode of the sixth season -- sans the elimination -- exclusively on its Logo TV app for iPhones and iPads. There, users can also exclusively stream “21 1Ž2 Moments that Made Us Gag,” with unseen footage and insider insights from RuPaul, Michelle Visage, former contestants and journalists who countdown the most outrageous,  moments from the first five seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race and All Stars.

On Feb. 24,  LogoTV.com will exclusively premiere RuPaul’s new single “Geronimo,” from the forthcoming album Born Naked album, with the sixth season of the series bowing at 9 p.m.

"A new album, a season premiere and the official greenlight for season 7...all in the same week!?! I'm so verklemplt I could plotz,” said RuPaul.

Noted Logo TV vice president of programming Pamela Post: “RuPaul’s Drag Race continues to be a perennial fan favorite that has slowly become a pop culture phenomenon attracting a wide-range of viewers.”
