Lowe's to Sell Nick-Branded Paint

Nickelodeon announced Thursday that Lowe's Cos. Inc.'s home-improvement chain
will start selling a Nick-branded paint collection later this spring.

The line of six "color families" -- inspired by the network's children's
programs, such as Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer and
Rugrats -- is designed for use in children's bedrooms and playrooms, the
companies said.

In addition, Lowe's will offer decorating kits that include appliques and
paint stamps that also feature Nick programs.

Nearly one year ago, in May 2002, The Walt Disney Co. and The Home Depot Inc.
signed their own deal that included development of "The Disney Paint Program,"
part of Disney Home, a home-decorating venture built around a line of
Disney-branded children's paint and other home accessories.

That deal was part of a three-year, $100 million cross-platform agreement
between those two companies.
