Jerry Machovina has left Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network as
executive vice president of media sales.
Industry sources said Machovina left YES last month, and he is now eyeing
opportunities outside of the advertising and media fields.
YES officials were unavailable for comment at press time.
Machovina, who joined YES in fall 2001, is the second executive to quit in
recent weeks. David Krone also left last month as YES' executive VP of marketing
to rejoin the National Cable & Telecommunications Association in the No. 2
post under president Robert Sachs.
Machovina was previously CEO at online-advertising exchange OneMediaPlace and
its predecessor, AdAuction.com.
He left AT&T Broadband in 2000, where he had been executive VP of ad
sales for that MSO and its predecessor, Tele-Communications
