AMC's retro advertising series Mad Men has captured the best drama series Emmy for a second consecutive year.
Matt Weiner's look at the professional and personal lives of the staffers of a 1960s era advertising agency became the first basic-cable series to take the drama statue last year.
Tonight's win gives cable its third consecutive best drama Emmy honors, as The Sopranos won in 2007. Meanwhile, it was another strong performance for AMC, which also saw Bryan Cranston repeat as the best actor in a drama for his role as Walt White in Breaking Bad.
NBC's 30 Rock also rolled to a third consecutive Emmy as the best comedy series.
