Mag Rack reached a deal with The Broadway Channel to bring the best of the Great White Way to Mag Rack's free video-on-demand service.
The programming includes Broadway previews, star interviews, profiles and tour programming, and will be available as full episodes as well as short-form theatrical trailers. Additional features include Broadway opening nights and What's Hot on Broadway, hosted by Broadway Channel's Maribel Aber.
Mag Rack is available on VOD in more than 30 million homes through operators including Comcast, Cablevision Systems, Verizon FiOS TV, Charter Communications, DirecTV and Dish Network. The company is owned by Interactivation, a New York City-based media company.
"With Mag Rack, we are able to showcase The Broadway Channel family of programming to the entire country shining the bright lights of Broadway to audiences whenever they choose to watch," Broadway Channel vice president Matthew Hege said.
The Broadway Channel's digital network provides daily programming on a dedicated channel into over 37,000 Manhattan hotel rooms at 74 New York hotels. In addition, it distributes theatrical programming through partners including Time Warner Cable, TiVo, Samsung, Sprint TV, Apple's iTunes, Dishonline.com, Ovation TV, Etisalat International and JetBlue Airways.
