Mall Kids Go Clubbing with Noggin

Nickelodeon spinoff Noggin and mall-owner General Growth Properties are teaming up to launch Club Noggin.

The two companies will test the interactive educational experience for children 3-6 at five GGP malls for two months, followed by rollouts at additional locations nationwide.

"Club Noggin invites parents and caregivers to bring their young children to the mall for a free, one-hour-and-15-minute session where kids can play educational games and participate in large and small group activities supervised by trained activity leaders," the network said in a prepared statement.

"Noggin has created a safe and educational format for the clubs that complement the network's curricular framework and on-air programming," Noggin added. "Each club session will include interactive songs, video clips, games and hands-on activity stations."

GGP is the country's second-largest shopping-center owner, manager and developer, with interest in or management responsibility for 170 regional malls in 41 states.
