GLENDALE, CALIF. -- Southern California Marcus Cable
subscribers will be able to watch Los Angeles Dodgers and California Angels Major League
Baseball games as part of a deal reached last week between the MSO and Fox Sports Net
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
FSN West pulled the plug on its Dodgers telecasts from
Marcus parent Charter Communications last month, after the company failed to ante up a 15-
to 20-cent-per-subscriber surcharge.
The additional fee covered 40 Dodgers and 20 Angels games
acquired recently by Fox and appearing on FSN West 2 and FSN West, respectively.
"There were compromises by Charter and Fox ...
ultimately, we believe that customers will benefit most from what the two companies have
worked out," Charter president and CEO Jerald Kent said.
