Denver -- Marcus Cable plans to launch
high-speed data services in two Wisconsin properties this week, using turnkey data
provider High Speed Access Corp.
Branded Marcus OnLine, the new service
will pass about 60,000 homes in Eau Claire and Rice Lake, as well as Barron, Cumberland,
Chetek, Cameron, Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Elk Mound and Lafayette.
HSA said it will provide all technical support, including
Internet service, network design and operations, connections to a network operating
center, customer support, marketing and billing.
Customers will pay $14.95 and up for the service. All
schools within the service mix will receive the service for free.
