Martha Stewart Signs Media Execs

Executives formerly with Yahoo, WWE and various networks (as a consultant) have been hired to key sales and marketing roles at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

Jacki Kelley has been named EVP of media sales, joining MSLO from Yahoo, where she served as VP of worldwide sales strategies and solutions. Lee Heffernan, who has been working with MSLO as a consultant, will be SVP of Integrated Marketing. And Tom Barreca, formerly EVP of WWE Enterprises at World Wrestling Entertainment, has been named SVP of Digital & Emerging Media.

Before joining Yahoo, Kelley was SVP of advertising at USA Today. At MSLO, she will oversee publishing, broadcast and internet advertising sales.

Heffernan is well-known for expertise in marketing to women. At MSLO, she will lead a team focused on creating multiplatform opportunities for advertisers. She founded Heffernan Marketing in 2003 and helped lead consumer and business-to-business marketing programs for clients including Turner Broadcasting, iVillage, Oxygen and Lime Media. She also held executive marketing positions at WE: Women’s Entertainment Television and Lifetime Television.

Barreca was EVP of WWE Enterprises, overseeing business development and new distribution worldwide. Earlier he was SVP at AMC Networks’ AMC Digital Ventures. In his new position at MSLO, he’s charged with building marketer-friendly, revenue generating businesses across multiple platforms.
