MASN Mixes Up Booth For ‘Battle Of The Beltways'

With its teams colliding in a three-game weekend "Battle of the Beltways" set, MASN will mix its broadcast teams for the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals.

MASN, beginning Friday night with Baltiimore hosting the Nats at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, will split play-by-play duties evenly between Nationals announcer Bob Carpenter and Orioles broadcaster Jim Hunter. Two-time All-Star Rob Dibble and Hall of Famer Jim Palmer, will proffer insight and analysis in MASN's special three-man television booth throughout the games. Debbi Taylor, reporter for the Nats, and her Orioles' counterpart Amber Theoharis will also be on hand for updates and interviews.

This will mark the third time MASN had deployed such booth lineups for this interleague matchup.
Each of the games this weekend will be televised on all three of the regional sports network's channels: MASN, MASN HD and MASN2. Sunday's Nationals game will be simulcast on WDCW DC-50 in Washington, while the Orioles action that day will also air on WJZ Channel 13 in Baltimore.
The pre- and post-game shows will be produced separately. Nats Xtra, with Johnny Holliday and Ray Knight, will originate from the studio and appear on MASN 2 starting at 6:30 p.m. O's Xtra, with Tom Davis and Rick Dempsey, will air live from Camden Yards and appear on MASN and MASN HD.
