Mayweather-Judah Fight Draws 350K Buys

Home Box Office’s April 8 Floyd Mayweather-Zab Judah welterweight-championship event punched out 350,000 pay-per-view buys.

The fight -- in which Mayweather defeated Judah in a unanimous decision to win the International Boxing Federation welterweight belt -- garnered $15.7 million in revenue, according to the network.

"We are very pleased with boxing fans' support of Mayweather-Judah,” HBO senior vice president of sports operations and PPV Mark Taffet said. “The fight performed particularly well in major urban markets across the country."

HBO also said Thursday that it has scheduled a July 15 PPV rematch between Shane Mosley and Fernando Vargas. Mosley defeated Vargas in their Feb. 25 PPV event, which generated a surprising 415,000 buys.
